When lifting your Jimny, the use of the Adjustable Panhard Rod eliminates lateral displacement. But this alone does not solve the angle problem, and steering operability and riding comfort remain degraded. The high-quality forged steering rod end made by GENB relocates the steering rod mounting position on the body side 15 mm downward. The rod, which becomes angled by lifting the Jimny, is corrected to an angle close to horizontal. The steering damper is also corrected to an angle that is good to achieve the effect. This steering rod end has reinforced ball joint parts, etc. In addition, the front Panhard rod relocation bracket made by HIGH-BRIDGE FIRST relocates the mounting position on the axle housing side 40 mm upward and outward. It is a very rigid bracket as it is fixed in place with three bolts. These two parts realize the ideal movement of the two rods.
[Compatibility]
- This product is designed to provide optimal correction for Jimny's that are lifted about 1 inch. But it is also great for about 0.5 or 2 inches lifted Jimny, and suitable for Jimny's that are unlifted, or lifted more than 2.5 inches.
- We also recommend RA-NO'S Front Suspension & Steering Correction Kit when the Jimny is lifted more than 3 inches / 75mm.
- Only suitable for RHD (right-hand drive). We don't have the LHD model.
[ Note ]
The bracket may touch the bottom of the front upper coil spring bed, therefore, it is necessary to do the following modifications.
Lifted 1‐2 inches: Bump stop extended 20mm + trimming bottom of the front upper coil spring bed. SHOWA GARAGE X-Large Adjustable Front Bump Stops (soft type) are recommended.
Lifted 3 or more inches: Bump stop extended by 40mm or more. SHOWA GARAGE X-Large Adjustable Front Bump Stops (hard type) are recommended.
[ Steering Damper ]
The angle and movement of the two rods will be ideal, when installing this product and the Jimny is lifted 1 inch. So, you can drive without any problems even if you remove the steering damper with this amount of lift. If you remove the steering damper, the steering wheel operation becomes slightly lighter. So if you seek lighter and quicker steering wheel operation, you can remove it. However, this method only works with some properly designed suspensions. If your Jimny is equipped with an economy suspension, it may not work properly, so we basically recommend driving with the steering damper installed.
* Please correct the steering rod and Panhard rod at the same time. Correcting only one of them deteriorates operability.
* An Adjustable Front Panhard Rod will be required. Please use both it and this kit.
