Jimny History
"Jeep + Mini + Tiny" Jimny, whose 1st generation was released in 1970, has maintained the consistent concept of a small, full-scale SUV for over 50 years.
Jimny is popular for professional use such as forestry, hunting, and mountain ranger, and also for post office and police vehicles in remote areas. As well, it is for outdoor enthusiasts, competitions, and even everyday driving in the city. Jimny has 2 categories in Japan; Kei-car and Sierra. Kei-car has a 660cc engine (550cc), sold only in Japan Domestic Market. Sierra has a 1.3 or 1.5L engine (1.0L), the same as the international models. They are almost the same except for the engines, axle track, wide fenders, and bumper design.
