When the Jimny is lifted, the caster angle is changed and the steering performance and stability deteriorates. Even the steering wheel does not recenter itself. This can easily be corrected by using Castor Correction Bushes because they correct the caster angle and improve the driving performance. It is almost necessary to correct the caster angle when Jimny is lifted more than 1 inch / 25mm.
Note 1: The correction angle of this product is 2.5°, which is ideal for Jimny when lifted by 20-30mm / 1 inch. When the Jimny is lifted 40mm or more, we recommend using the separately sold Castor Correction Bush 5.0, or both together.
Note 2: These products can be installed on either front radius arms or rear trailing arms. One option is to install them to the lifted Jimny's rear trailing arms. When the Jimny is lifted, the angle of the rear axle also changes, so by correcting the angle with these products, it may be possible to achieve smooth movement of the rear coil springs. Most aftermarket coil springs may be designed without careful consideration of angle correction, and these products may be effective for such cases. However, if this angle is corrected too much, the angle of the propeller shaft will become too angled, which may have some disadvantages such as causing abnormal noise. In addition, the high-performance coil springs such as those engineered by TANIGUCHI and others that our shop carries are designed in advance so that there is no need to correct the angle of the rear trailing arms. If your Jimny is lifted by such high-grade coil springs, installing this product on the rear trailing arms is not necessary.
