Japanese Traditional Craft "Tenugui" Hand-dyed Made Cotton Towel
This hand-dyed made towel is a Japanese traditional craft Tenugui, a very thin Japanese cotton hand towel. It depicts the Jimny designs from the first-generation (1970-1981) SJ10 to the latest-generation (2018-present) JB74, with even the number of slots in the grill faithfully drawn for each model. Made by ANBO, founded in 1907, a store that specializes in dyes from Asakusa Tokyo and now sells Tenugui and other dyed goods in Asakusa Tokyo.

This Tenugui uses "Tokuoka" which is the finest cotton used in Yukatas, which are Japanese traditional clothes. The fabric is finely woven, has good texture, and is highly absorbent. Amazingly, it gets stronger when wet. The dye is handmade using a traditional technique called Tenasen. After dyeing, it is repeatedly washed in hot water to prevent discoloration.

The size is 100 x 35 cm, which is slightly larger than the normal Tenugui. The color is azure which is a purplish navy blue which appears in the famous painting by Hokusai Katsushika from 200 years ago in Japan.

There aren't any harmful substances in the dye and can be washed in a washing machine. Note: The color may run, so wash separately and do not use bleach.
