This lightweight Trial Bonnet (hood) has better forward visibility since its front side has a lower shape than the original one.
Even though Jimny is a small car, forward visibility is a bit of a problem due to its angular body shape and high vehicle height. What's more, forward visibility is even worse in a lifted Jimny, especially in front of the side opposite the driver's side. This is often a problem not only when driving off-road, but also when driving in urban areas, creating the risk of accidents such as collisions with small children or obstacles. This Bonnet has a 25mm lower front side than the original SUZUKI ones and is ideal for trial competitions as well even for lifted Jimny.
It weighs only 4.5kg. The weight is about 7.1kg lighter compared to the approximate 11.6kg of the SUZUKI original one. It aims to reduce weight while ensuring strength with a double structure. Also, in the center, it was designed with a press line that 2nd generation Jimnys such as JA11 and JB31 used to have. Along with the JB74's linear interior and angular body shape, this design is effective in assessing the tilt and movement of the vehicle even when driving off-road, especially in trial competitions, and it also has a classic and stylish appearance. In addition, it has air vents on the side of the rear edge. They dissipate heat and reduce engine bay temperature rise.
Carbon type for 157,800 JPY (carbon fiber-reinforced plastics) and FRP type for 107,200 JPY (glass fiber-reinforced plastics). Both weigh almost the same.
Note: In Japan, due to poor forward visibility, lifted Jimnys will not pass strict vehicle inspections unless they are equipped with devices to ensure visibility to the front and front left, such as a front-view camera or an additional mirror. However, please note that this product does not guarantee that a lifted Jimny will pass a vehicle inspection.
