This product is a lightweight, high-quality, and very beautiful bonnet (hood)! It weighs 6.7kg and is about 5.3 kg lighter compared to the approximate 12.0kg of the SUZUKI original one.
Since it is manufactured by vacuum formation with the latest LRTM (Light Resin Transfer Molding) method by using a special machine, it’s extremely lightweight and strong. Also, the carbon twill weave is uniform and even, including the corners, making it look very beautiful. Highly recommended for those who want to reduce weight. The size and shape are the same as the original. Also, the sandwich structure has the same skeletal design as the original, so safety in the event of a collision is not reduced. Made in Japan.
Two types are available: Carbon type for 139,100 JPY (carbon fiber-reinforced plastics) and FRP type for 86,300 JPY (glass fiber-reinforced plastics). Both weigh almost the same.
* Painting is not required for the Carbon type since it has a beautiful clear coating finish that is almost mirror-like. FRP type is not painted. It is not intended to be used unpainted and must be painted.
* Because it is a lightweight product, the bonnet gas springs cannot be installed together.
* The installation is the same as the original SUZUKI one, and the original bonnet catch can be used. Bonnet pins are not required.
