Rising risks to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, stemming from the situation in the Middle East, have led to crude oil shortages and price increases in Japan. Regarding international shipping, while there are some slight delays in delivery, operations are returning to near-normal levels—including in the Middle East—with the exception of certain countries and regions.
However, the supply of petroleum products—particularly petrochemical raw materials like naphtha—has become unstable in Japan. Consequently, products from our manufacturing partners are experiencing shortages, stockouts, suspensions of orders, and price hikes. This instability in naphtha supplies has also impacted paint availability, resulting in delivery delays for metal products that cannot be coated.
While our shop maintains inventory for some items, others—such as bumpers—rely on manufacturer stock or are made-to-order. Currently, orders for some of these items have been suspended, or delivery dates remain undetermined. Additionally, some metal suspension parts cannot be ordered because they cannot be finished due to a shortage of paint.
Our staff takes great pride in the fact that, thanks to globalization and free trade, we can sell high-quality Japanese products worldwide and bring satisfaction to a diverse range of customers. We sincerely hope for world peace, free trade, and the continued development of international logistics. However, we also acknowledge the various challenges inherent in international logistics, such as transport disruptions caused by conflict, high tariffs, import restrictions, and complex import procedures.
Our company is committed to a policy of "Customer First," "Fair Transactions," and "Providing Accurate Information," and we strive to explain the current situation to our customers with transparency. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
