Ultra-High Performance Front Brake Pads (1981-2018: 22,800 JPY), High-Performance Rear Brake Shoes (1998-2018: 13,800 JPY, 1990-1998: 14,700 JPY), or both (1998-2018: 36,600 JPY, 1990-1998: 37,500 JPY).
Note 1: Metal brake pads are high performance, more durable, high heat-resistant, more resistant to brake fade, and have excellent controllability. However, compared to general organic brake pads which are installed on small cars, they have some disadvantages such as their being more stressful for the brake system, adding more strain and wear on the brake rotors, they’re noisier, and the wheels more easily get dirty. These products are not recommended if you only drive your Jimny in the city and if your Jimny has the original-size tires.
Note 2: The initial braking of these products is somewhat suppressed, so initial braking may not be very effective in some cases when driving slowly in very cold conditions.
