Please note it is not intended to be installed easily with just bolts as is. Some modifications are definitely required in any case in order to install this product on any Jimny.
- Relocate the license plate.
- Cut the license plate mounting stays.
- Remove the original tow point.
The following additional modifications will be required as well.
A) JA71, SJ30 (original bumper)
- Cut the bumper near the lower area of the left taillight.
- Relocate the earth-fixing cable of the right taillight.
B) JA11, 51, SJ40 (original bumper)
- Relocate the earth-fixing cable of the right taillight.
C) JA22, 12, JB32 (original bumper)
- Cut the inside bumper where it touches this Trailer Hitch.
D) Some aftermarket bumpers
- Bend the mounting stays of the bumper if they touch this Trailer Hitch.
In addition, the following additional modifications may be required in some cases.
- If an aftermarket fuel tank guard is installed, cut or bend it.
- If an aftermarket muffler is installed, relocate the position by replacing the muffler mount.
- Some longer mounting bolts may be required.
