The extremely popular Free-stop Door Opener has been remodeled into a Friction Door Opener. This new product has a wider door opening angle than the previous model. The damper diameter has also been increased, ensuring stable operation. This very convenient product is a special hydraulic damper for the rear door that can be stopped anywhere you like and prevents the door from opening fully in one motion!
When opening the original Jimny rear door, it opens fully and vigorously and cannot be stopped partway. But this product stops the opening door anywhere you like. It prevents the door from hitting a wall or other vehicles behind your Jimny in small or cramped parking lots. Also, it prevents anyone standing behind the vehicle from being hit by the door because the door does not open with a full swing. The original rear gate can open up to about 80 degrees, but the rear gate will be able to open up to 90 degrees when this product is installed. (Up to 100 degrees for JB43, 33, 23)
Note: Please note that the door may be difficult to stop if the vehicle is leaning. Also, in case you've changed your spare tire or wheels to ones larger than the originals, or your Jimny has a rear ladder, containers, or accessories on the rear door, the door may not be stopped due to the excess weight. Because this is the friction type, there is a slight resistance when opening the door, but please do not open it vigorously or forcefully. It may damage the product or ball joints if the rear door is opened forcefully. Be careful when opening and closing in strong winds. Operation noise may occur depending on the speed of opening and closing the door.
