This FINAL LSD "SP" works quickly even when a wheel is off the ground! This product is a hybrid type Limited Slip Differential that combines both quick response and stable operation. This is a further evolution of the ultimate traction device-FINAL LSD.

Designed by TANIGUCHI for Jimny using OS GIKEN's Dual Core LSD technology. By using spiral side gears, it is usually the torque-sensitive type, but when one wheel is completely floating, it works as the speed-sensitive type. This is the ideal LSD which is highly recommended by TANIGUCHI for those who drive off-road hard, especially such as moguls, where the wheels are off the ground.

The performance of FINAL LSD "SP" is almost the same as the FINAL LSD Off-Road Model except for when one wheel is off the ground. FINAL LSD will work very strongly only when you want it to work, while having all the comfort and operability of an open differential, and it has dominated the podium at many competitions as the best off-road LSD in Japan.

With the springs set in the direction that closes the pressure rings, it is nearly completely-silent and does not chatter even under low load. This product has an unprecedented number of discs: 2 sets of ten discs (L and R 10 discs; 20 discs total) which gives a very strong locking performance, a superior response during driving, and a natural torque distribution like a Helical LSD. Fits all types of Jimny rear differentials. Comes with bearings. Made in Japan.


With improved control performance, there is less disc friction and heat generation and less damage to oil and parts, resulting in an excellent long life. Even after a driving test of 150,000 km without maintenance, the LSD is in nearly brand new condition.
Note: Normally, it is recommended to change the oil once every 10,000 km. We recommend using the separately sold TANIGUCHI, OS GIKEN dedicated oil.

The only disadvantage of this product is the high price which is 50 % more expensive than a regular LSD. However, this product is highly durable, has a low maintenance cost, and has a long life. There is almost no need for periodic overhauls as there are with other mechanical LSDs. So in the long turn, you can enjoy high-performance LSD at the same cost as regular LSD.


- PRESSURE RING -
This pressure ring houses OS GIKEN's patented lock timing system, where springs work in opposition of the torque being applied to the LSD. This results in a progressive, smooth, and quiet operation of the clutch discs within the differential. Furthermore, by modifying the spring rate, the rate of which the differential reaches full lock can be adjusted to driving styles.

- CAM ANGLE -
Unlike other manufacturers that utilize modular components, OS GIKEN's cams and pressure rings are manufactured as matching sets. Because the faces of the cams are ground exactly to match the application area of the pressure ring, torque transfer is smooth and consistent throughout the lock range.

- GEARS -
The unique “spline-through” side gears allows this LSD to house more clutch discs than traditional LSDs. Also, due to the relatively large size, it provides superior durability and torque transfer.

- CLUTCH DISCS -
The discs are precision-machined simultaneously on both sides to extremely tight tolerances to reduce flatness deviations and to eliminate the need to perform the tedious “figure 8” break-in period. By using as much as twice as many clutch discs than competing brands, this differential provides superior torque hold while also reducing the “clunkiness” of traditional clutch-type LSDs. This also results in enhanced durability and reduced wear as torque hold is spread out over a higher amount of friction surfaces.

- CASE -
The case and all components are constructed from a high-grade steel alloy and then chemically heat-treated for increased durability. The extra rigidity created ensures that the internal components stay within their tight tolerances, allowing the differential to function with watch-like precision.

Gentle finish that does not make you feel the presence of LSD. Recommended for those who drive on-road mainly. When driving at high speed, the LSD also works well, improving straight running stability and drastically reducing driving fatigue. Also recommended for those who are super advanced and want to control the effectiveness of LSD with their own skills. It is also ideal for AT vehicles.

- Off-Road Model - (160,200 JPY)
Excellent off-road driving performance. This model has chatter noise and drag feeling a little bit more than the On-Road Model, but you will hardly notice them.

- SP Model- (188,700 JPY)
