This product corrects the mounting position of the rear Panhard rod by about 50mm downward and 12mm backward. It creates a smooth, stable ride by correcting the mounting position of the rear Panhard rod by about 50mm downward. It is also recommended when using thicker shock absorbers whose diameters are more than 30mm since it prevents the Panhard rod from hitting the shock absorber by relocating the mounting position 12mm backward.
When your Jimny is lifted, the use of the Adjustable Panhard Rod eliminates lateral displacement. But this alone does not solve the angle problem. A Panhard rod should ideally be at an angle close to horizontal. However, if the Panhard rod has become too angled by lifting, the vehicle's body sways not only up and down but also left and right when driving on bumpy roads. It also causes various problems such as unstable behavior when rolling and applying force in the direction in which the body twists during acceleration. Especially in the rear Panhard rod, these problems appear conspicuously. This product solves this angle problem by correcting the mounting position of the rear Panhard rod by about 50mm downward and creates a smooth, stable ride even in various situations. Drilling is required.
* It's also recommended as in #2 and #3 below to install both the TANIGUCHI Rear Panhard Rod Relocation Bracket, which can relocate the mounting position of the Panhard Rod 40mm upward on the Axle Housing side, with this product. It will then be possible to achieve a comfortable ride and stable driving performance even if your Jimny has been lifted by 4 inches (100mm) or more.
* Also, the Rear Panhard Rod Off-set Relocation Kit is recommended for Jimny which has been installed with thicker shock absorbers and thicker coil springs.
[ Recommended installation ]
1, Lifted 40-75mm: Using this bracket.
2, Lifted 80-120mm: Using this bracket together with the TANIGUCHI Rear Panhard Rod Relocation Bracket (40mm upward).
3, Lifted 120mm or more: Using both this bracket and the TANIGUCHI Rear Panhard Rod Relocation Bracket (40mm upward) with the Adjustable Panhard Rod.
Note: It is OK for lifted Jimny to use only this Bracket in some cases. However, to achieve the highest results of proper left and right alignment for any lifted Jimny, we recommend using both these relocation brackets and the Adjustable Panhard Rod regardless of the amount of lift.
